182 m of the ice core was transported to the cold laboratrory in Moscow. Vladimir Mikhalenko and Ivan Lavrentiev spent 25 days at 5150 m altitude. Analysis of the ice-core will allow to reconstruct climate fluctuations, atmosphere gas composition and pollution of the temperate latitudes.
Visual analysis have showed that there are clear evidences (ash horizons) of Elbrus volcanic eruptions history in the ice core.
