1998-2000 School of Young Geographers at the Moscow State (Lomonosov) University, Moscow, Russia. This school is in addition to standard education and provides weekly classes and field trips addressing various aspects of physical geography and environmental science to students age 15-17.
25 June 2005 First Class joint BSc and MSc degree in Glaciology. MSc thesis title ‘Glacier Changes in the Inner Tien-Shan Mountains since the End of the 19th century’.
2007-2008 Visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Reading, Reading, UK. Duration of stay: 4 months a year over two years. Funding: EU INTAS Young Scientist Fellowship.
