Welcome to our site of Glaciological Department and Tree-Ring Laboratory of the Institute of Geography RAS. Here you will find information on glaciers and climate in the past based on the high resolution multi-proxy paleoreconstructions.
For these reconstructions  we use tree-ring analysis, including both climatic reconstructions and tree-ring dating, ice core analysis, glaciomorphology, remote sensing, mass-balance and glacier length variations, historical records, and borehole thermometry. We are interested in the glacier and climate variations during the Holocene with the focus on the high resolution records of the last millenniа.
